Hey everyone. Round Thee Twist invited me to write on this blog, so I decided to thank him by snaking a Lost post.
So, being this close to the end of the final season, all bets are off. I kinda knew some heavy deaths were coming with the glib way they sent Ilana packing. Still, I have to say I choked up a bit when Jin and Sun had their scene together.
R.I.P. SUN - YOU MADE LOST EASY ON THE EYE
Sayid had gone creepy for a while, so his death didn't really hit as hard. Can't make an omlette, etc. Also, as tragic as Sun and Jin were, I did think during the scene 'Well, you have a kid now. Maybe one of you should survive?" Dick move, writers. Way to not think about the children.
Maybe Kate will set up an orphanage when she gets back?
The whole parallel universe they've got going on seems to matter a fair bit, considering Desmond, who knows some shit, tried to whack Locke after Locke pushed him in a well back on the island, plus all the other people being aware of it (Libby, etc). My current theory is that if you die on the island you wind up there. My theory about that theory is that I don't know what the fuck is going on.
As for the on-the-island action, some serious shit went down. It's getting fucking hard to figure out who to root for. Obviously not Locke. Sawyer wants to get off the island, and doesn't trust Locke, but now they are pitting him against Jack. Jack seems, well, a little crazy, although him wanting to stay does buy into the whole Jacob/Man In Black thing, and for the whole show he's been the person everyone looks to despite spending most of the last god knows how long being a whiny bitch.
At the end, Hurley cried (devastating), as did Jack (meh). Then Locke picked up a gun back on the dock and stomped off. Shit is forecasted to go down again in a week.
Jack has spent approximately 0.0001% of his time on screen smiling.
